‘The Borgias’ International Sales Increase After Strong Ratings on SHOWTIME

Just a few days after the premiere of The Borgias, the SHOWTIME series starring Jeremy Irons, CBS Studios International has secured licensing agreements across Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Recent international sales for The Borgias include deals in Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Korea, Turkey, and pan region agreements throughout Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. This builds on previous announced deals with Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and with Telecinco in Spain.

The Borgias brought in 1.06 million viewers on the Sunday, April 3rd premiere on SHOWTIME. Not since 2003, has SHOWTIME seen such numbers for the premiere of a new series when Dead Like Me brought in 1.11 million viewers.
