Screendaily.com has announced that Jeremy Irons, Tom Sturridge and Kim Cattrall will star in Lajos Koltai’s film The Treehouse (aka The Master of Farnow). The film is being produced by Hamburg-based Transcorda Filmproduktion and is due to be released in June 2012. Currently the film is being sold at the Berlin Film Festival by House of Film.
The Treehouse was adapted from Eduard von Keyserling’s novel Schwüle Tage by Paul Mayerberg. The film tells a coming-of-age story set in 1910 on a Pomeranian estate of an aristocratic family.
Shooting for this film will begin on May 2, 2011. Filming locations are set to be in Poland and Germany.
