Jeremy Irons’ “The Last Lions” Set to Premiere at Palm Springs Film Festival

François Ozon’s Potiche, starring Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu opens the fest, and British/Kenyan drama The First Grader, from Justin Chadwick, will close. Gala and Special Presentation screenings include Peter Weir’s The Way Back, Max Winkler’s comedy Ceremony starring Uma Thurman, and Monte Hellman’s Road to Nowhere. Hellman will also receive the fest’s Maverick Award. World premieres include Down the Shore (James Gandolfini and Famke Janssen), Little Murder (Terrence Howard and Josh Lucas) and Botswana’s documentary The Last Lions, narrated by Jeremy Irons.
